You're welcome here.

Whether our time together begins through conversation, Reiki, meditation, ceremony, or shared reflection, each offers a different doorway into the same invitation: becoming more fully ourselves.

Sometimes the most important thing we can offer one another is a place to pause. A place to think out loud, to be deeply listened to, and to rediscover what we may already know beneath the noise of everyday life.

Wherever you find yourself today...

you're welcome here.

A CORNERSTONE OFFERING

Threshold
Conversations

A dark image with two thin yellow horizontal lines and a yellow dot in the center.

A dedicated space for thoughtful reflection, perspective, and discovery as we navigate life's ongoing transitions.

Sometimes we find ourselves standing at a threshold—a life transition, a difficult decision, a spiritual question, a relationship, a loss, or simply a quiet sense that something is ready to change.

These conversations offer a welcoming space to think out loud without judgment or pressure. Together, we'll explore what's beneath the surface, recognize patterns, consider possibilities that may not have been visible before, and create room for insight to emerge. Sometimes a fresh perspective doesn't change the circumstances—it changes how we meet them, revealing options that once felt hidden and making the path forward feel a little less overwhelming.

Sometimes what changes us isn't finding the perfect answer. It's finally feeling deeply heard. It's discovering that we aren't as stuck as we thought. It's learning to trust ourselves again.

I don't believe most people need someone to tell them how to live their lives. More often, they benefit from someone who can walk beside them for a while—someone who listens deeply, asks thoughtful questions, and gently reflects back what may have been difficult to see alone.

Whether you’re navigating change, deepening your spiritual practice, or simply needing space for your own reflection, Threshold Conversations offer a trusted place to pause, listen inward, and explore what may be ready to emerge.

They can also offer peer support for those who regularly hold space for others—facilitators, practitioners, caregivers, and community leaders—who may need a place to be heard and supported themselves.

Wherever you begin, my hope is that you’ll leave each conversation with greater clarity, deeper self-trust, and a renewed sense of possibility.

Important distinction

While meaningful conversations can certainly feel therapeutic, Threshold Conversations are not psychotherapy or mental health treatment. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, or replace the care of licensed mental health professionals.

Reiki

Reiki offers a quiet space for rest, balance, and healing. Through gentle, hands-on or hands-near energy work, many people experience deep relaxation, reduced stress, and a renewed sense of connection with themselves.

Whether you're seeking support during a challenging season, looking to complement your overall wellness, or simply longing for a moment of stillness, Reiki can provide a calming and restorative experience that meets you where you are.

Guided Meditation

Meditation is more than relaxation. It can be an active, intentional way of exploring what is happening within us.

Each guided meditation is thoughtfully created as an immersive experience, using breath, imagery, symbolism, reflection, and intentional awareness to invite deeper self-exploration. Rather than simply quieting the mind, we may enter an inner landscape, encounter a question or image, explore limiting beliefs, or create space for something previously unseen to emerge.

Whether you're new to meditation or have an established practice, these experiences are designed to meet you where you are and invite greater presence, clarity, and connection with your own inner wisdom.

Animal Reiki

Animals often respond naturally to calm presence and compassionate energy.

Drawing upon a lifetime of working with animals—including formal study in Equine Industries and Animal Science, a professional career in animal science and biotechnology, and many years of offering Reiki to companion animals and horses—I offer Reiki sessions that respect each animal's signals, comfort level, and individual needs.

Whether supporting relaxation, recovery, or overall well-being, Animal Reiki is always offered with gentleness, respect, and deep appreciation for the bond we share with the animals in our lives.

Ceremony

Ceremony allows us to honor life's meaningful moments with intention and presence.

For more than thirty years, I've been involved in facilitating and co-leading group rituals and gatherings, creating spaces for reflection, connection, celebration, and meaningful transition.

Whether celebrating a wedding or handfasting, blessing a new home, marking a life transition, observing a seasonal festival, or creating a personalized rite of passage, each ceremony is thoughtfully shaped to reflect your values, your story, and the significance of the moment.

Together, we'll create something authentic, meaningful, and deeply personal.

ABOUT JAYSON

A Life Shaped by Curiosity,
Listening, and Presence

Portrait of Jayson Derwin seated in a warm, contemplative room.

For as long as I can remember, I've been curious about what helps us heal, grow, and find our way through life's transitions.

That curiosity first found expression through my lifelong relationship with animals, leading me to study Animal Science in agricultural high school, earn an Associate of Science in Equine Industries, and later a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science. My professional career eventually brought me into biomedical research and laboratory operations, where for decades I worked alongside scientists, researchers, and physicians in environments that demanded precision, thoughtful collaboration, and deep respect for both people and the animals entrusted to our care.

The same curiosity that shaped my scientific career also led me inward, drawing me more deeply into decades of exploring contemplative practice, Reiki, meditation, ceremony, comparative religion, symbolism, mythology, psychology, and spiritual philosophy.

Rather than seeing science and spirituality as opposing worlds, I've come to experience them as complementary ways of understanding ourselves and the world around us. One asks how things work. The other asks what they mean. Together, they've shaped the way I listen, the questions I ask, and the way I walk beside others.

Over the years, I've been fortunate to support people from many walks of life—from those taking their first steps into personal or spiritual growth to experienced practitioners, facilitators, educators, and others who spend much of their lives supporting those around them. I've learned that even those who guide others benefit from having a trusted space where they can reflect, explore new perspectives, and be deeply listened to themselves.

For more than thirty years, I've also been involved in facilitating and co-leading an earth-centered spiritual community, creating spaces for ritual, learning, personal growth, and meaningful connection.

I don’t see my role as giving people answers.

I see it as creating the conditions where discovery becomes possible.

Whether we’re sitting together in conversation, sharing a Reiki session, participating in meditation, or standing together in ceremony, my hope is always the same: that you leave feeling more connected to yourself than when you arrived, with greater clarity, deeper self-trust, and a renewed sense of possibility.

Life keeps presenting us with new thresholds.

Some we welcome.

Some we never expected.

Some we choose.

Some choose us.

Whatever threshold you're standing before today,
you don't have to cross it alone.

NOT SURE WHERE TO BEGIN?

A black background with a simple yellow line, a dot, and another yellow line.

Let’s take a breath.

If you'd like, we can start with a complimentary 15–20 minute conversation by phone or video.

It's simply an opportunity to meet one another, talk about what brings you here, ask questions, and see whether working together feels like the right fit.

There's no pressure or expectation—sometimes a brief conversation is all someone needs to know what their next step might be.
